Pat,
I found a guy that has worked on the radio and will flat rate them for $65 plus shipping costs. He’s a boomer that likes to stay busy doing what he enjoys. For that price, I can’t see how I can go wrong.

One thing if you decide to do the cap swap out yourself is back a couple decades ago the older lead-based solder was replaced by lead-free which is not compatible with the old stuff. You will need the old 60/40 or better 63/37 solder to work on these radios. Do not try plumbing solder either.
The cap leads will probably need to be scraped/cleaned a bit because the old lead coating on them has been replaced with something else.

Restores antique tube and transistor radios and such. Basically says all the caps fail after a couple of decades and changing out a few to make it work isn't good enough and changes them all and sees what's up afterwards.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have experience with a vendor that can repair vintage AM Radios? Thanks to less Cannaday, I was finally able to purchase an OEM Toshiba Positive-Ground radio for my 64 SPL310. The ON/OFF switch doesn't work and the dial lights (tiny screw-in bulbs) are burned out. Any recommendations would certainly be appreciated.
