Hi Dave,
The list is text only, pics get scrubbed, but here is how brake lines go.
Hard lines along frame, then flex lines for suspension travel.
C clips hold lines into brackets, then un thread soft lines from hard lines making sure to hold hard lines using a flare line wrench.
This is open end, but holds more than just 2 flats, so is less prone to stripping.
If soft lines are suspect, go braided steel with teflon lining wherever possible.
That bring said, because of heat this is a bigger benefit on cluth lines.
Start every brake bleed session with adjusting rear shoes as close to drum as possible, and hand brake so that only 3 clicks till fully locked. (This makes a difference. I learned years later, thanks Keith Williams)
