Hi all,
I have a good running 1600 engine and transmission for sale. I had rebuilt
the engine in my 1970 SPL in preparation to restore it;body had lots of
rust everywhere, then found a 69 that had been redone and cost less than
the bodywork would have been for my project. I have been driving the 69
with the engine it came with up until last week when the clutch went out,
so that has made the decision for me to swap the engines. This engine runs
fine, has good oil pressure, starts easily, has no issues and comes with a
transmission that works fine. Only issue with the trans is that it has a
bit of the slop in the shift linkage that is common to this transmission.
All the synchros are fine. As I mentioned, the clutch, which was at the
limit of its adjustment when I got the car, is completely worn out. I have
video of the engine starting and running from cold, then again from warmed
up and will email them to anyone interested. Car is in Warren, Maine. I
could possibly deliver the engine/trans within New England, or can put on a
pallet and ship anywhere. If inteersted, please email me at redroadsterman
@gmail.com.

I also have the body parts I had collected for the 70 project car that
include the following:
Left and right front fenders from the 70 * SOLD*
Left and right rear quarter panels (I think they are from either a 68 or
69--can't remember if they have the hole for the marker light)
Complete floor pan, less trunk floor. THIS WAS CUT DOWN THE MIDDLE TO MAKE
IT SMALL ENOUGH TO SHIP.

Also remembered I have both doors, a hood and a 2 trunk lids, one with and
one without holes for luggage rack.

Please let me know if interested.

Thanks,
Joseph
