Agreed, and mine will have the later model engine when it gets done.  
However, I applaud those who intend to keep them stock as much as 
possible; they're more dedicated than I.  It takes more work and 
tinkering when things get that old.  I should know; I'm old. I've got a 
1930 Pontiac rumble seat roadster that will be my retirement project and 
I'm having a hard time convincing myself to not put a 455 with a 4 speed 
behind it into the thing.  The main things that drive my desire to keep 
it stock are it's relative rarity as a Pontiac plus it was built for 
export and spent its life in Uruguay and therefore is right hand drive.
