One more possibility..

ON my BMW 2002 I had a vibration I could feel from the back/center of the car.  It wasn't in the steering.  Ned Coonen and I checked the car over thoroughly and didn't find any loose wheel bearings, bent wheels, or loose driveshaft parts.

Removing the driveshaft, I found that the rear u-joint didn't flex as well as it should.  It would hesitate slightly in the center when flexed side to side.

Rebuilding the driveshaft cured the bad vibes.
