Unless you're connecting to a brand new cable, I would lube the cable with
some graphite. Nothing worse than a whiny speedometer cable.

I am about to reinstall my rebuilt (thanks again Jon Frampton) speedometer
in my '67 2000. My plan was to just reconnect everything and call it good
but I can't remember if there are any hints or tips that are "must dos" for
this procedure. Is there anything I should/should not be doing in addition
to merely reconnecting it?
