Audi, Horch, Wanderer and DKW merged in the early 30s to form Auto Union, 
and Auto Union acquired NSU in the late 60s. BTW, from the mid 50s to the 
mid 60s Auto Union was owned by Mercedes and then sold to VW, who over time 
dropped all the lines except Audi.
