Steve,

The hole is BPST, I think, and while you can tap it, it's tight
getting the tap handle in there. Easiest deal is to go to a local auto
parts place and get the bag of adapters from Equus. I couldn't find it
on the Equus site, but I got mine at the local O'Reilly's for under
$10. One of them screws right in.

guage was giving some funny readings. B i removed the original sender from the
block, and attempted to insert the adapter (1/8 NPT female to 1/8 BPST male).
B i cannot thread the adapter into the block. B at all. B it won't even start.
B the 1/8 NPT compression fitting that would go into the adapter won't go into
the B block either. B the original sender unit screws in by finger strength,
no problem. B i cannot tell by holding them together, whether the threads on
the original sender are closer to the 1/8 NPT or 1/8 BPST, they are that
close.
