[Roadsters] Ignition voltage or polarity issues

Anyone had experiance with voltage/polarity problems at the distributor? I
know the negative lead from the coil is supposed to go to the distributor, but
for whatever reason the car seems to run better with the polarity reversed at
the coil. Is there another point where the wiring could be reversed causing
this or possibly a component failure? The ignition seems to break down under
load either way. I am running a new MSD coil, so I do not believe this is the
problem. I am suspicious there is another problem that has not been
addressed.
