[Roadsters] re intermitant shaking

Since this is a fairly new issue and the car has not been worked on by anyone else in over two years, I would hope that my drive shaft wasn't bent and also don't see how it could happen.
As far as a u-joint, is this something that can just happen? Or does there need to be some sort of trauma for there to be u-joint issues?
Same with the drive shaft, would there have to have been some sort of trauma under the car?

For what it's worth, in my BMW 2002 I had a vibration between 25 and 45 mph
that went away with speed. I checked all the wheels on a friend's balancer
and they were fine. I removed the driveshaft, and found that the rear u-joint
was binding on one side. Picture your wrist moving smoothly back and
forth....now picture it meeting resistance in the center, that's what was
happening.
Replaced the driveshaft, and all vibes are gone.
