[Roadsters] Cylinder head

I plan to pull the cylinder head on a u20. The previous owner of my car told me today that he had the head welded many years ago and that if I could get this one at a reasonable price I should get it.I am pulling it at a wrecking yard and have never pulled one. Can anyone give me any pointers on how to pull it with out damaging it. Or point me in the right directions for the info.
