[Roadsters] Starter gone or going?

Hi folks,
Wondering if my starter is on the way out...symptoms: when I turn
the key, 3 things can happen... 1. absolutely nothing, 2. a click and/or
whirling sound without turning the engine or 3. the car starts no problem. If
it is out, I'm thinking forklift replacement Nissan 23300-K9160(Mitsubishi
M1T60081 or M1T60381). Any thoughts?
