[Roadsters] Cast iron distributor mount

Hi Everyone,

How does one remove the cast iron distributor mount off the block?

After pushing a putty knife in from the outer edges, I've come to find out,
the mount actually sleeves into the block part way. The motor is assembled
and wonder if this wil affect the oil pump down below in any way? I was on
311s.org but could not find any info on this.
