[Roadsters] 68-70 soft top frame question

I purchased a new soft top and will be installing it on the top frame
this winter. Several years ago I remember people discussing the fact
that a defect in the sheet metal frame caused it to bend and thus not
allow the top to be attached to the windshield frame correctly. I
believe that a vendor repairs these. Any idea who that would be?
