Sorry - left off some info. Yes, I can do that, but then I lose my
personalized "ROADSTA" plate. I'll keep it registered if necessary to keep
the plate.

Hi Pete,

out here we just don't renew the registration. then we get new tags when we
eventually do register it to drive again. if it's registered in any form,
we're required to have insurance on it.
