[Roadsters] Distributor need or go electronic

My 69 1600 is running like crap. I took it for a possible tune up and was told the distributor shaft was worn and no point on setting the points. Two options given, get another distributor or go with an electronic one for $179.00.

Any thoughts on where I could get a usable distributor?
Any thoughts on whether it's better to go electronic?
