[British-cars] [Mgs] TD question

Well, maybe it was like my dad's TD where the drive shaft went.  But, this 
was back in the early 50's when he was a young engineer.  So, rather than 
fix it "proper" he dropped in a 1941 Studebacker straight 6 with 3 speed, 
with the firewall cut back, with a different battery location, a split 
exhaust, early Vic Edelbrock's aluminum heads and carbs, a heavy duty 
radiator, louvered by a a guy named Emil Dietz and pin stripped by an 
ex-Packard man.  Now, I'm not suggesting you do that!  Of course, if 
anyone knows of that car, by all means, let me know!  He replaced it with 
an XK120, followed by a gaggle of Porsches, and now a Sunbeam Tiger. Funny 
how that TD foreshadowed the Tiger!
