I wondered what accounted for that Concours appearance

When I buy my paint for my MG-TD I will be getting the Valspar water base
enamel at Lows. It's cheep and can be applied with a roller and
brush. Lows has a wide selection of colors. I think that I can paint
my entire car with 1 Gal and the clean-up is easy.

Going to water-based paint for automotive use is the first
step. Step 2 will be the switch to finger paints. At that
point the EPA will be happy as the elimination of toxicity in automotive
  paint will be complete.

In talking with a couple of professional
painters, they feel that the new water base paints apply better and are easier
  to match
