Additional advice from a BMC expert in LaVerne California: If heating the block does not result in proper fit of the head gasket you must re-heat it with more humidity, the previous heat may have been too dry. Failing that, you may just have to rent the block-stretcher from Moss Motors, Standard Motors Special Tool #E110576-BS.
