Judging by your description, your car is NOT part of this batch of the tail
end of Alpine Ser. V cars.

You have the most common number plate lamp setup, like all Series IV, all Tigers,
and all but the last roughly 2,500 Series V cars.

The original inquiry was about cars that have the number plate lamp actually
mounted on the chrome rear bumper, not on the rear lower valance below the boot(trunk)
lid.
