[Alpines] dashboard question

Hello all

 

Has anyone out there replaced the standard Alpine dashboard with an
aftermarket wooden one?  If so, are they drop in replacements, or will I
potentially spend the rest of my useful life fiddling with brackets, gauges,
etc.?
