[6pack] Are we dead?

I am here as well – on the list for 10 years probably. My 72 TR6 is eleven years past a frame-off, all nut and bolt restoration. A busy schedule means it comes out only once or twice a month and probably 500 miles a year. Because of where I live it’s put away December through March. Total vehicle mileage is 70,XXX. I have a modified short block (bored, Maxspeed rods, forged crank) that I plan to finish and install as a “hot rod” motor at some point with high compression, multiple carbs, header, etc. Time will tell if I’m able to finish it.

The list is a great place to sound off on the various issues we face with these somewhat capricious automobiles.

I am here. Of all years I decide to take the TR off the road and detail every item in the engine area and attack tons of rust...it has been perfect driving weather in Portland OR. Ugh. So many British cars on the road. Some days (like today) I feel like buying a different TR and just sell mine. Problem is, I bought it 23 years ago when I was young and poor and bought the best I could then.

And have done a ton over the years. Now time to do some welding repairs. Including the rusted floor pans. I am about to lift the body in a week or so to take care of that once and for all.

What a pain all this has been. With that said, I have consider posting updates somewhere with pictures.

There was a TR6 blue color on eBay that appeared good but I'll never buy a vehicle I can't see in person to check for damage, rust or body filler. So I plan to keep on restoring my TR. I get distracted by things like upgrading the rear end. That'll have to wait.

Well. If anyone else is restoring maybe we can keep each other motivated!

Cheers

James

Hey guys,

I miss this list. Is it dead or just inactive? If anybody get's this, just a 'Hi' from me. If only the admin get's it, thanks for all you've done!
