[6pack] [TR] car hoist question

Happy July fourth and thank you to all who replied.

The hoist doesn’t have posts – it is flat on the ground (and can be stored on its side) and supposedly lifts to about 30 inches. It is currently buried, but I’ll try to pull it out and get pics. No serial number right now and I am guessing it had been around a long time (many years).

Is it one of the limited height lifts like the MaxJax shown here http://www.costco.com/Dannmar-MaxJax%E2%84%A2-2-post-Portable-Auto-Lift.product.11731656.html

Subject: [TR] car hoist question

Today I was at a neighbor’s and he showed me a car hoist he had acquired a few years ago but never used. It is a 110 volt, hydraulic hoist with a capacity of 2 tons. It has 4 adjustable arms for lifting. On wheels, it has a separate “control unit” which can attach to the hoist and the unit can be pushed or pulled into position.

Given the portability of the hoist, this seems like a great thing to have for TR work, but neither of us has any idea what it might be worth. I couldn’t find anything similar on eBay or Amazon. Does anyone have a suggestion what it might be worth?
