Sorry you had to go all the way to China. Those have been available in the  
US for several years, and they're not that expensive. You want the ones 
with the  360 degree diodes and you want to use red for red tail lamps. Don't 
depend on  the lens to change a white LED to red. The whites are more 
expensive, anyway.  The other posters are correct about the flasher issues.
