[6pack] Where have all the platers gone? stainless vs chrome

Stainless steel is marvelous stuff and can be polished to almost 
chrome-like finish.

I do a lot of stuff in stainless.  One is the windshield tenon plates on 
the TR3. They are polished to high degree and mostly covered, anyway. 

Untold from OEM part and much less cost in replacement or replating.
