Keep in mind another important factor... most tires are molded with tread 
depths in the 9/32 to 10/32" range. This adds about .5 inches to the 
height of a brand-new tire. Half and inch to 25 inches is 4 or 5 percent, 
but a worn down tire of stock size will be very close in diameter to the 
alternate "modern profiles" available (like 205/70-15.)
