Interesting that you see this as too much fuel rather than not enough. 
I would think the holes in the brass plug into which the fuel is drawn and
then pulled up the tubes to the throttle chamber could not get "over supplied"
with fuel.  I was interpreting the behavior as the damper being up, maximizing
the vacuum pull but there wasn't fuel at the brass plug holes to be drawn due
to the sloshing of low levels of fuel in the bowl.  I'm probably exposing my
ignorance of how the carbs function, but that was my thought process.

Hi Andy.
Remember the stutter well. My take on it is under HARD left hand cornering the
gas flows to the outside of the bowl allowing the floats to drop and pump too
much gas into the chamber, it will stutter until it blows all the gas out and
then take off again. Because of how the floats are hinged is why you don't see
it on right handers. If you run without air filters don't be surprised to find
gas puddled up in the frame channel under the carbs after a run. After many
attempts at solving this problem I finally switched to S-U's. Problem solved.
