Jim,

I'm 6'2 and it's not the head room that's the problem, it's the leg
room.  If he makes it to 6'8" or 10", unless he is built like Michael
Phelps, I suspect his right knee will be wedged between the steering
wheel and the center consol.  Remove the roll bar, and see if you can
rework the seat rails to get an inch or so more leg room.  Maybe Miata
seats are thinner in back and will allow even more movement.  Otherwise,
the 7s and 8s have decent leg room and head room.
