i have that type in my 1959 bugeye. are you aware of it's tendancy to
nearly "step" sideways for evry "lock"-"unlock" of the ratchet unit? it
will sacre the living daylights out of you upon first test drive! once
aclimated to that type of unit you will learn you must either coast or
power into a corner as the unit almost makes a 1 foot jump sideways either
locking(applying throttle) or unlocking(releasing throttle) in a corner!
you need to either commit to powering through a corner or coasting (off
throttle) through a corner up to the apex before you apply throttle! also
you need to be aware of traffic in the corner to aomodate the car's desire
to pitch towards the outside of the turn upon aplication of power , when
the diff. locks back up . it is a period , "effective" device , but
requires 100% attention to your placement on course & driving skills!
