Shave, maybe not. But there is a process used to "true" a tire after
it's been run and found to be out of round.
Unfortunately, I can't bring the name to mind. I used to use it
with great frequency along with on-car spin balancing to cure all
manner of perceived shake and shimmy.
It works the same -- you mount the wheel in this big thing that is
probably best thought of as a lathe, spin it, and grind of the
high spots until it's round...
Come on, another one of you guys is bound to remember what the heck
this is called...o
