Bad advice from your sports racing friend. Most of these cars do NOT
use flex hose for the entire car. Most use steel brake line for
everything except for flex to the wheels, which should be dash 3
aeroquip line.

Your copper is good stuff BUT tech people will all give you a hard time
cause they will assume it is soft copper which will burst from brake
pressure. Save the constant tech hassle and don't use this.

Any local brake shop will sell you steel brake line that is galvanized
(no need for stainless, plus stainless may not swedge properly for
fittings), and be able to supply the fittings. Buy a double flare kit.
Stay with the american style double flares. Easier to get fittings,
etc. Don't mix Metric style and American style. Confusing. Earls will
make up the flex to your spec.

Finally a double master cylinder set up is a must to pass tech, and to
save your ass when one end fails. Set the rears on one line and the
fronts on another. For god's sake don't do what one fruit cake did some
years ago and split the system side to side. A quick way to hurt
yourself.

And yes, I am an expert. I am not pooling my ignorance on this one.

L.D.

PS. Buddy up to some local that has been there and done that. That can
be the biggest help of all.
