Wm. Jennings "Bill" Bryan of Munhall, PA....has owned his formula junior
since the early '70s...and may even be racing at the Pittsburgh Vintage GP
this weekend in the #08 '59 DeTomaso ISIS FJ. His tel. no. is:
412-462-7997.
Also, Gennaro "Jerry" Russo of Bedford, NY also owns a '59 De Tomaso ISIS
FJ, #03... believed to be the first FJ built...and raced by Norman Birdall ,
1960-1963. Jerry's tel. no. is: 914-234-4117.
Both are long time members of the VSCCA and have competed together at the
Pittsburgh Vintage GP in the early years. Give them a call...both are great
to talk with!
BTW>>>In the Italian Car Registry, published by John de Boer in 1994, an
outstanding reference book.... de Boer lists all the F-1, F-2 , Fjr. that
were built along with race info on each as it was available from the factory.
For example: The heroic school teacher from Palermo, Nino Vaccarella, was
the driver listed for the F-2-003, Conrero Alfa, at the Modena GP on
3.9.61...but DNQ. Perhaps that is the Mississippi race car in question?
Dave Anderson (alfaguy@netally.com)....Since TICR is a rare publication and
hard to find...I am emailing you a copy of all the DeTomaso info.
