Hi folks, my name is Bob DeShane and I'm organizing the VARAC Vintage
Racing Festival '50. The festival really will be special as it marks 50
years of sportscar racing in Canada. In addition to the fabulous ride that
you'll find that the track gives you, we've got lots of other fun things
planned to fill out the weekend for you and your family or friends. The
nearby towns provide great places for the wives to shop and explore,
cottage country begins here, so, you might want to spend a bit of time
enjoying some of Ontario's vacation opportunities. We've got a great party
planned for Saturday Night with Little Caesar & the Consuls (original top
ten hits of Hang on Sloopy and IF). You can gamble close by at the Blue
Heron Casino. Like I said, there's lots to do.

If you want more info, just check out our event website at
http://vintageracing.net .

Now, I don't want to speculate on how much green Vaughn is going to drop at
the paddock restaurant in order to come good on his wager/promise, but I
can guarantee that you'll find that US dollars go a lot farther here in
Canada. Maybe, he is not so willing to make the same offer at the US
tracks!

Never the less, you won't want to miss this event. It's got great racing
and great social events all rolled up into a holiday weekend at very
reasonable prices.

If I can help you with anything. just let me know. I'll see y'all soon.

ps. Thanks, Vaughn for the kind words. I hope to cash in on a McMosport!

Vintage-Race listers,
This afternoon, I sent in my entry to the VARAC Festival. Folks, this is
the big one.. don't miss it! Best organizers, best track, best track food,
most track time, best weather, best marshals, best drivers, lowest entry
fee.

If you need any more incentive, I post this challenge just for
vintage-race list members:

"On Sunday morning, July 4, I will buy a McMosport for any vintage-race
list member who beats my best Friday or Saturday lap time at the Festival.
Just bring this email and your best Friday or Saturday lap time to the
Paddock Restaurant on Sunday morning to collect."

Vaughn
