Resistors... Ballast resistors run from around 0.4 ohms to 1.5 ohms, depending on the coil and system you're using. Coil primary resistance can also vary in the same range. Its the ratio between the two that determines the voltage the coil gets, and the total resistance that determines the primary current. If you're running points, I'd say use about 1.5 ohms each....If you're using breakerless, then 0.5 ohms each is about right. Myles |
