I charted the entry fees and days of competition for all seven events we
attended last year and could not fairly correlate because sometimes we
entered enduros, sometimes we went to three days or two days, etc.

However after reviewing the whole thing these things are certain:

1. Mid Ohio (SVRA) and Chicago Historics were most expensive, with least
track time. They also entailed doubled motel prices, because they were
spectator events. They also had 'banquets' for $50 or $60 per head where
the meal was worth maybe $10. All this at events where there were 40,000
plus spectators. I object!

2. VSCDA events - more track time, somewhat lower fees

3. Most wonderful event of the year, financially, was the IRP
Children's Museum event. $180 fee for two high variety days, Barbeque
free or low cost, lots of track time, AND $80,000 DONATED TO THE KIDS
MUSEUM! I didn't mind the entry fee at all.

I expect to bear the cost of my own hobby, but I really object to paying
a lot AND having others profit greatly from it.
