Just a quick reminder to any of you who are coming over to England for the
Coys Historic Festival at Silverstone that the Vintage Sports Car Club
(VSCC) are holding a hillclimb at Prescott hill near Gotherington,
Cheltenham, Gloucestershire on the weekend before.

For those of you who know little about this event, many say it is infact
better than Coys!!! It is a 2 day hillclimb, practice on the saturday,
full runs on the sunday. Each car gets two runs on each day. The entry is
typically over 225 cars

There are 4 classes for sports cars, each separated being pre 39 and pre
30, 4 similar classes for racing cars together with a class for Edwardians
which normally has at least 25 pre 1918 cars competing.

The cars entered read like a who who of pre war British/European
competition cars.

The sports car classes will be full of names like Bentley, Bugatti, Aston
Martin, Frazer Nash, MG, Austin, Riley, Alvis, Lagonda, Alfa Romeo

In the racing cars there will be more of the same with an added complement
of ERAs, Maseratis, and probably an outing of the 4WD Bugatti seen last
year

REMEMBER THAT THESE CARS ARE ALL COMPETING (NORMALLY VERY HARD TOO)

Price for admission is about 6 pounds/day

If you would like more details either mail me back or contact the club
direct on 01635 44411 (+44 1635 44411). If you ring them tell them that
you saw it on the Email/Internet
