Along the lines of the earlier thread on running updated components
on vintage cars, I'm curious about people's opinions and club rules
on replicars.
I have in mind not kit cars, but former street cars with no
real race history, "upgraded" to production racer specs. Provided
the preparation is well done and authentic, and the owner is not
foolish enough to try to pass the car off as a historical racer, should
these cars compete door-to-door with originals? Should they be run in
separate classes? What are the rules in the various clubs?
