        Gentles,

I am pondering th installation of an electric fuel pump in my TR4.
I'd like to use a solid-state Facet pump with the appropriate
pressure regulator and a couple of fuel filters in line. I'm planning
on using braided fuel line and fittings to do the job right. I would
also like to reroute the fuel line so that I don't cross the engine
compartment to get the fuel to the carbs (which are SU HS 6s).
        Has anyone done this?

I thought of running the fuel line down the right side of the car,
outside of the frame rail. I am concerned about the heat given off
by the header and exhaust which would be fairly close by. If this
is a bad idea, what alternate route would you suggest?

Furthermore, I an wondering if I can split the fuel line before it
gets to the carbs rather than feeding it through the front carb
as in the stock set up? Finally has anyone had any experience in
changing the float bowl lids so that the front lid is on the back
carb (so that the fuel line run is shorter)?

        Thanks,

        Greg Petrolati
