Hi all

Just received the latest news about "2. Oldtimer Berg Trophy" which will
take place
in Davos/Switzerland on September 20 - 22, 1996. Thought this might interest
some
of you.

Last year was the first edition of this hillclimb on gravel road which
starts close to the
famous winter/summer station of Davos in the High Alps of Switzerland and
goes uphill
on a winding mountain gravel road for 3.6 kms to the Schatzalp. Most of the
cars were
from the Twenties and Thirties (Bugatti, Alfa-Romeo, Jaguar, Aston-Martin
and the lot),
and there were numerous drivers from abroad (Italy, France and, of course,
the Brits).

You will have those famous race cars, like the Bugattis 57's, the Alfa 8C's,
the prewar
Astons and the like.

But also the Bikes are on the move: Nortons, Motosacoche's and Harley's.

The categories are:
- Racing and Sportscars 1905 - 1945
- Racing Bikes, solo and with side cars
- Racing Threewheelers.

The first edition last years seems to have had a few organisational flaws,
but I'm sure
that the organisers have learnt their lesson (same crew who organised the
Klausen
Hillclimb a few years back), and that this year it will be even better. This
will be pure Oldtimer Racing in the best sense of the word, and all this in
a beautiful
mountain area!

There is also a "Sternfahrt" for those who do not want to race, beginning on
Friday Sept.
20 and ending on Saturday morning 0900 hours at the starting place of the
racing drivers,
attracting several hundred Classics from various countries.

If you are interested please contact:

(specify if you want the entry form for the hillclimb ("2. Berg-Trophy") or
for the "Sternfahrt").

If you need assistance please email to my address. I will try to help you,
although I am just
one of the freaks and in no way related to the organisers, but living in
Switzerland.
