The starter motor is out right now; it failed me a couple weeks ago and with
all the bad weather I'm still waiting for the replacement to arrive.

Am really thinking of putting a helicoil in that top hole. Its 5/16 24
(fine thread).

Anyone else done that? It looks like I can do it without removing anything
else.

Should I do it in coarse? Any advice?
