The shifter shaft on my TR3A is indeed threaded as 7/16-32. A nut this =
size
is unobtainable from McMaster-Carr. Faced with the same problem a few =
years
ago, I hogged out a =BC=94 stainless nut, bought a 7/16-32 tap (it IS =
available
from McM-C for 30 bucks), and threaded it. It works and looks fine, but =
30
bucks for a nut? It must be love. I=92ve never found another use for =
this tap.
