i did not rebuild the distributor on when restoring my TR3.
but now winter is
here i thought i might put that right.
i know there are good guys out there
who will rebuild for me (advanced distributor) but I'm perfectly capable of
doing it my self, especially now the nights are drawn in.
i have 3
distributors available to me to rebuild.

my original still on the car is
marked:
1058B167
40480A

other options are:

dist #2
159 V167
40480A
DMZ?

dist #3
1157 V167
40480A
DM?

each of these distributors have 2 springs
each
are of a different length and wire diameter
each of them has one spring loose
that wont come into tension until the distributor is spinning.
is this normal?

i seem to recall being told that the centrifugal weights are different for
the 87mm pistons. y/n?

thanks
Frank
