Assuming the repair went well, you should be fine with your plan.
Once the engine is fired up and gets to operating temperature, any
residual water in the oil passages will be boiled out. There shouldn't
be enough left to cause any concern about inadequate lubrication.
But do change the oil and filter fairly soon, like the few hundred
miles you mentioned.
