I've seen old VW Beetles hauling trailers. Sure, a TR3 can haul one.
Beware of excessive trailer weight. Most are pointlessly heavy in a number
of areas. You might want to look at motorcycle trailers. They are pretty,
lighweight, and frequently kinda expensive.
As an example, I've got a motorcycle cargo trailer. It weighs 40 lbs.
