Yup, that's it.

The resistance of the wire itself is too small to be noticeable in this
circuit; even if you add considerable length to it.  

For example, 14 AWG copper wire has a resistance of about .0025 ohms per
foot.  So if you were to add 10 feet of 14 AWG, the added resistance would
be .025 ohms.  Since the coil only draws around 5 amps, the voltage drop
through the additional wire will only be 5 * .025 = .125 volts; which isn't
enough to worry about.

But if you want, you could always use 12 AWG for your addition, which is
only .0015 ohms/ft.
