Would anyone know if a Triumph herald rack and pinion would be
interchangeable
with a TR4's

==AM==
Interesting question, Jim. I suspect one could be made to fit. I
remember contemplating such a swap in reverse some time ago, as I was
thinking of putting an early TR4 steering rack (about 2.5 turns
lock-to-lock) in my autocross Spitfire. Seems to me that the overall
length (or width, if you will) is about the same, and critical bits are
in the right place and at about the right angles.

But I never got around to doing the swap, so....

*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with  wings.
