I know there are tractor lists, but don't have any links handy.  Try
Googling for "old tractors" or "Ford 8N".

But it's an engine just like any other engine : needs spark, fuel, air and
compression to run.  I would start by checking the spark at each cylinder
(pull the plug, hook the wire up, lay it on something grounded and crank the
engine).  If that looks OK, then the next suspect would be fuel.  Clogged
filter, water or crud in the float bowl, etc.  Then check the air filter(s)
and intake for any kind of blockage.
