Jim,
I checked in the GT6 manual and it seems to suggest a "Rule of 13" in
effect. But it is easier than it might otherwise appear because you can
adjust 2 valves at a time.

Here is the chart:

Valves fully open Check and adjust
1 and 3 12 and 10
8 and 11 5 and 2
4 and 6 9 and 7
10 and 12 3 and 1
2 and 5 11 and 8
7 and 9 6 and 4

Regards,
Joe

Subject: Follow-up question

A few weeks ago there was a discussion regarding adjusting valves. Some
one
mentioned the "9 Rule". I won't go into that, for my question is
regarding
the Triumph 6 cylinder engine.

Does 6 cylinder engine follow the "9 Rule" or is it just applicable to
the 4
cylinder engines??

If anyone knows for sure please let me know!

TIA,
