Check that the sliding joints on the drive shafts. I had a similar problem
several years ago, and solved it by unbolting the shafts at the dif, sliding
the spline shafts apart.  I toughly cleaned them and greased them with a
high quality grease.  Never had the problem again.

Just returned to Medford from Portland, Oregon in my 72 Stag. Car ran well
and is fun to drive. I have a minor problem that I would appreciate the
lists thoughts on. When I lift my foot after hard acceleration, it feels
like the rear end wants to go the other way. There is a definite jerk. Any
thoughts?
