Thread-topic: | A Type OD Solenoid Rewinding |
I know that this is a stretch, but does anyone know how many winding turns or total wire length that there is for each of the two windings in the solenoid. I had re-wound my solenoid last year with wire purchased at Radio Shack, but their standard spools of wire are a bit shorter than what is on the original coil which causes overheating. I now have 1/2 pound spools of Belden wire, 20 gauge and 28 gauge, probably enough to re-wind several solenoids.
